Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
